Some women’s health issues make it into everyday conversation – hot flushes, night sweats, brain fog. Others? Not so much. Those “oh, that’s awkward” ones often get brushed aside until they’re impossible to ignore.

That’s exactly what the free, online event for EveryWoman Day (Sunday 14 September 2025) aims to change.  You can watch the recording of this important event here

You will find out about the changes to comfort and sensitivity where it counts – your clitoris, labia, and vulva.

Someone had to say it.

EveryWoman Day is all about bringing lesser-known women’s health topics out of taboo and into the open, so that we can all be empowered to take action. This year, the live, free, online event is called: Your shrinking clitoris & other menopause problems.

Hosted by expert speakers, the 90-minute Sunday morning self-care session is finished off with a guided relaxation segment. Because when stress goes down, your body can start to rebalance.

Who’s talking…and why you’ll want to listen

The free online event for 2025 brings together three people who’ve seen, studied, and supported women through it all:

    • Bill Taylor – one of the UK’s top pelvic health physiotherapists. Bill demystifies the physical changes, explain what’s happening and how you can take action.

    • Karen Gardiner – founder of the Feel Free Programme and long-time advocate for women’s health education. Karen shares her practical, no-nonsense advice for feeling more comfortable and confident, plus why sharing your story matters more than you think.
    • Eve Napier – yoga instructor specialising in deep relaxation. Eve closes the session with a soothing Yoga Nidra (Non-Sleep Deep Rest) practice to help calm your nervous system and leave you refreshed. You can access this part separately for convenience.

Why this is worth your precious time

Here’s the thing: the clitoris and labia are part of your vulva. And that’s packed with nerve endings, designed for pleasure and sensation.

These changes are far more common than most women realise, whether from menopause, medication, pregnancy, or other hormone shifts.

Thankfully, there is some discussion of vaginal dryness these days – though still not enough. It’s thought that as few as one in four women with vaginal dryness seeks help. And you should seek help, because you can make it better.

The official term for vaginal dryness is actually Vulvo-Vaginal Atrophy (VVA). See, the clue about the clitoris and labia is in the name. Atrophy is when tissue shrinks, or wastes away – in this case, because of lack of moisture more than lack of interest.

But when the tissue gets thinner, drier, or less elastic (thanks hormones, medications, or even pregnancy), sensitivity changes. That can affect comfort, intimacy, and confidence.

The good news? You don’t have to just “put up with it.” There are simple, proven ways to restore moisture, soothe irritation, and keep those tissues healthier for longer. And that’s exactly what this event is about.

And breathe…why this session ends with deep rest

Stress and hormonal fluctuations can keep your nervous system stuck in “fight or flight,” which can make everything feel worse, including vulval and vaginal symptoms.

That’s why our event ends with guided deep relaxation (Yoga Nidra) – a restorative practice to help rebalance your body, support better sleep, and make room for healing.

Think of it as the nervous system reset that your pelvic floor would happily RSVP to.

What you’ll walk away with

    • A clear understanding of what’s really happening “down there” (you’re not alone).

    • Practical tips and options  – both lifestyle and healthcare – that you can start using straight away.

    • A sense of reassurance: this isn’t something to be embarrassed about, it’s something you can do something about.

    • A guided deep rest session you’ll want to use again and again.

Did you know…?

There’s solid science behind Hyalofemme to relieve VVA. The deeply moisturising gel with a unique form of hyaluronic acid (Hydeal-D), has more published clinical trial evidence than any other vaginal moisturiser (why this is important)

Clinical studies show Hyalofemme can:

    • Improve moisture and elasticity of vulvo-vaginal tissues in postmenopausal women

    • Support healing and comfort in postpartum women

    • Help cancer survivors (who can’t use hormones) feel more comfortable

    • Even improve sexual function scores (like arousal, desire, lubrication) when used regularly

All without hormones. Just smart, science-backed hydration where you need it most.

Save this Sunday

So join the EveryWoman Day movement – start by watching this event. Because the more we talk, the less awkward it gets – and the better we all feel.

If you feel moved to share the event on Facebook or Instagram please do!
