The race for gender equality isn’t exactly happening at Formula 1 speed – at the current rate of progress, it will take until 2058 to achieve full parity.

So we’d better get cracking.

Let’s start today, on International Women’s Day (March 8th) by asking yourself: How’s your equality status as you go about your daily life?

There’s a lot more to that question than having the same salary as your male colleagues. And although that would be a good starting place, it’s harder to tie down than, say, figuring out who does most of the washing up in your household and if that’s a fair division of labour when it’s weighed against other humdrum tasks.

Today’s a good day to reflect on progress made and take action towards a more equitable world.

If you start in your world,  the ripple effect will ensure it spreads out into the external world. Maybe if we all take small, determined steps, equality will happen in our daughters’ lives, not our granddaughters.

The 2025 theme: Accelerate Action

This year’s IWD theme, #AccelerateAction, comes in the face of the data from the World Economic Forum that calculates 2058 as nirvana, equality-wise.

So this year’s campaign calls for swift, decisive steps to eliminate systemic barriers and biases that women face.

Collective efforts can significantly impact areas such as women’s economic empowerment, leadership opportunities, access to quality education and healthcare, and the dismantling of stereotypes and discrimination.

By supporting and implementing effective strategies, we can shorten the timeline toward a more inclusive and equitable world for women and girls.

How we can celebrate & support women

💜 Advocate for gender equality – Whether in the workplace, at home, or in society, speak up for fair opportunities and rights for all women.

💜 Amplify women’s voices – Give your support to women-led businesses, authors, artists, and change-makers. Representation matters!

💜 Prioritise women’s health – Encourage open conversations about topics like menopause, mental health, and reproductive rights. Demand more research into women’s health conditions, because there are far too many of them which are shockingly poorly understood.

💜 Empower yourself & others – Whether it’s expanding your education, self-care of any kind, or financial independence, investing in women’s well-being strengthens communities and future generations.

Self-Care is part of women’s empowerment

Empowerment isn’t just about external achievements — it’s also about feeling strong, healthy, and confident in your own body. Women often put their own needs last, but true empowerment includes prioritising self-care, health, and comfort.

Intimate health is essential to a woman’s overall well-being, and when it’s compromised, relationships can suffer. That has a knock-on effect on families and communities.

As a hormone-free, clinically proven non-hormonal vaginal moisturiser, Hyalofemme supports women in feeling comfortable and confident at every stage of life.

Vaginal Dryness can affect women whenever there is hormonal disruption. This is common when:

💧 You’re on oral contraceptives

💧 You’re undergoing fertility treatment

💧 You’re pregnant, or have just given birth

💧 You’re breastfeeding

💧 You’re in the perimenopause or menopause years

💧 You’re living with a diagnosis of gynaecological breast cancer

💧 You’re on medications including for diabetes, depression and more

Hyalofemme quickly and easily relieves the itching, burning, discomfort or pain (especially during sex) that you may feel if you have Vaginal Dryness.

Because it’s made with Hyaluronic Acid, which is naturally present in the vagina to keep the tissue hydrated, it feels like your normal secretions.

This International Women’s Day, we stand with women everywhere, promoting awareness, inclusion, and the right to prioritise personal well-being — because every woman deserves to feel her best.

💜 Here’s to strong women—may we know them, may we be them, may we celebrate them! 💜
